Where Hotels Connect People

Since 2013, Hotel Night has been inspiring residents to rediscover their city through its hotels. In Amsterdam, the event is organised under the name Mastercard Hotel Night Amsterdam, where luxury and boutique hotels open their doors for a weekend filled with culinary, creative, cultural and wellness experiences. From suite parties and cocktail workshops to yoga sessions, live performances and exclusive dining experiences, Hotel Night transforms hotels into vibrant social destinations.

Created and developed by HBMEO at the request of the Municipality of Amsterdam, the festival has grown into one of the city’s leading lifestyle and hospitality events. HBMEO remains responsible for the concept development, programming, marketing and PR, working closely with hotels, partners and destinations to create meaningful connections between residents, visitors and the hospitality industry.

Luxury Hotels

Over the years, Hotel Night has evolved into a city-wide celebration featuring many of Amsterdam’s most iconic luxury hotels. The event attracts thousands of residents who enjoy a unique staycation experience while discovering the city’s hotel, culinary and cultural offerings from a fresh perspective. By encouraging locals to engage with hotels, the festival helps strengthen the relationship between residents, visitors and the tourism industry.

Next Stop: Barcelona

Building on the success of the Amsterdam edition, HBMEO is currently exploring the international expansion of the concept. The first step is a pilot edition in Barcelona, planned for 2027, developed in collaboration with local hotels, partners and stakeholders. The ambition is to create a high-quality hospitality festival that connects locals, internationals, travellers and industry professionals through a programme of unique experiences.

Hotel Night has proven to be a powerful city marketing platform, particularly in destinations where strengthening the relationship between residents, hotels and tourism is a priority. The next edition of Mastercard Hotel Night Amsterdam will take place on 16 & 17 January 2027, while preparations for the Barcelona pilot are currently underway.
